Seeking assistance is a brave thing to do, especially when you are hurting, exhausted, scared, or just having a hard time keeping it together. I’ve been through it - I am still going through it some days. It’s ok, and normal to have hard times and hard days. The one constant in life is that life is filled with change. Things may seem impossible today, but in the near future things may seem wonderful. Sometimes our circumstances change, but often our capacity and our perspective changes.

Why?

Because we are wired for resilience and survival. We are made to thrive, grow, and change. Our brains and bodies are magnificent that way, in that we can adapt and learn throughout the lifespan.

However, when we are in survival mode our brains and bodies don’t want to exert too much effort - we want things to lighten our load, take off the pressure, and not require too much brain or body power. Support is available; consider reaching out because no one needs to go through hard times alone.
